The Oneness of all is merely a lovely concept until we experience it deeply within ourselves. It has been the purpose of spiritual paths to guide seekers to this expanded, enlightened state. Being able to experience the whole of life as completely interconnected is what is necessary to save our most beautiful and wondrous planet and our own lives, and the lives of all beings here. The difficulty is that evolving to this level of living has taken many, many lifetimes. We don’t have that kind of time anymore.

Gaia and the Universe know it, so they have been accelerating the growth, sending huge energies, and astronomical events of kinds not seen before have been happening. Astronomical and astrological historians have gone through archives of knowledge from many lands to look for the patterns that are happening now and not finding any similar in over 5,000 years. The cosmic and planetary events have given us chances to work through our constricted beliefs and energy patterns to accelerate our growth and prepare for massive changes. Covid was the big call to attention. The 5-planet stellium in Capricorn in January 2023 was one. There have been rare solar flare events, planetary upheavals, and many others. They have sent us gifts of encouragement, such as the wondrous, full-sky aurora borealis in 2024. Just this last month we’ve had lunar and solar eclipses, the Libra Equinox conjunct the new moon the day after, and the continued approach of 3I/ATLAS, first identified as a comet and now moving more as a spaceship. (Astronomers are hoping to get more information as it gets closer. It will conjunct Mars on October 6 and achieve perihelion – closest point to the sun – on October 29.)[1] (btw, no need to fear “War of the Worlds.” There clearly is sentience, and it has been deemed loving and coming to help us make our planetary transition into a loving, caring, regenerative system that Gaia has always been. It has been traveling at 130,000 mph.)[i]

There are stages in growth to truly holistic perception. Each step is valuable. The struggles that we’ve been going through have been opportunities to evolve faster. Having the intellectual awareness that all of life is, and has to be, interconnected is vital. Without it, humans act as if everything but humans is inert, without sentience, intelligence or purpose until we use it for our own ends.

What is the value the state of being that feels all life as One? It is what is true and real. Our human consciousness has led us into a false sense of reality. We have gotten divided from nature, spirit, connection, and all the complex processes and interconnections that are needed to support life on this amazing, unique planet. What is true is that animals think, solve problems, use tools, care for others, play, love, and grieve; that plants perceive, connect, anticipate danger, figure out solutions, send help to others, make sure every plant nearby has vital nutrients. Neil deGrasse Tyson said that in our galaxy diamonds are not rare or particularly valuable. There are entire planets made of diamond. What are unique, meaning that Earth is the only place in which they exist, are trees. Trees have not been found on any researched astronomical bodies except Earth. And we cut them down for toilet paper.

Within the sense of oneness, we would actually feel and experience life more the way it is, which connects us more to Spirit and to our true insides, rather than feeling hollow and alone and isolated. It would ameliorate the need to assuage the emptiness and isolation of being cut off from the richness and interconnectedness of the world. When we know that we are connected, our nervous systems relax and have the chance to feel safe. We have the ability to be. We can also do more that is true to us and be happy. And Gaia will love our relaxing and feeling more fulfilled, because we will stop consuming more than She can provide, and we will delight in the connectedness.

We truly are fractals of the universe. We are made of the chemicals in stars. Asteroids carry RNA that brings life. We are the oh-so-tiny spiral in a Romanesco cauliflower which is a whole cauliflower in itself. Our consciousness and spirit are part of all the gods and goddesses and all the spirits, including the nature spirits and the Devas who manage life on Earth. The Universe is crowded with sentient and brilliant beings, and we are connected with them. So many are invested in the outcome of Earth’s experiment in growth and transformation from tightly constricted and shut-down physicality to more highly evolved and fluid energies. Many are interested in seeing us use our creativity emotionally and spiritually as well as mentally. We have to do the work to release the constrictions and assumptions that hold us from receiving the energies that want to help. When we do, we benefit by feeling held by the flow of Life, free, spacious, safe, fulfilled, and part of Nature, with so many animals and plants who love us; with all the trees, feeling the air as full as a web of energies.

Having intellectual awareness can guide our actions. As we work through the assumptions, beliefs, and held pain that have kept us in the constricted view of existence, we can gradually birth the awareness of oneness and then the joy, the relief, the belonging. Eventually we can get to the felt experience of all life as sentient, problem-solving, future-planning, meaningful, needed by all around it, deserving of being honored and learned from. I practice it. I remind myself, ,moment-by-moment, to shift into this more true awareness of the Life Force in the living world and beyond, as One. The more I dedicate myself to Nature, to the Flow of Life, the more often I can feel the whole of life with its intricate strands of being, interacting, interlaced, inter-related. I can see the webs in the atmosphere, into space, in the oceans, forests, spreading through the dirt. If I can work through my pains and stuck places, then it can be done. And oh, is it worth it. The love that is all around us is amazing. The beauty of the web of interdependence on Earth is wondrous. If you see me in rapture in the woods or blissed-in in ocean or lake, come play. The feeling is great.

Astronomers have categorized this object as interstellar because of the hyperbolic shape of its orbital path. (It does not follow a closed orbital path about the Sun.)
